New York Day Seven

Starting today off with Bo’s Bagels, the place was popping at this time of day. Seth picked up a special “The Ashley” with avocado, egg whites, red onion, pepper jack cheese, and siracha. “Too siracha, not enough avocado” - Seth

Next on the agenda was the Natural History Museum. Not going to lie, I was in it for the coming to life creatures aka Night at the Museum. Unfortunately, everything seemed to stay put.

Compared to the Met it was somewhat lacking, however, Seth pointed out that they served two different purposes. What we both loved about that Met was that you could see all the original creations, artwork, and found pieces. The Natural History Museum was mainly about providing historical background to findings and in our experience, having copies of objects.

With Jordan needing a quick nap, Seth headed out on his own.

After leaving Jordan at the aprtment, I set a course towards Milk Bar (featured in Chef’s Table) to see if I could try something from their selection. I exited the subway and was hit with huner pangs so I had a salad before heading a few hundred metres down the street where I picked up a hazelnut and pistaccio gelatto. When I reached Milk Bar, their soft serve machine was inoperable so I opted for a selection of biscuits (the compost cookie was the best) and a slice of ‘Crack Pie’. With a bag of goodies, I head back to the apartment to meet back up with Jordan.

After a quick snack, we headed out to walk the Highline, an old subway line coverted to a park walk above New York.

Start of the walk.

View down the streets.

Pretty lights.

Prettier lights!

After our walk we were starting to feel snacky so we headed to the closest pizza shop and picked up a slice.

So hungry.

Making our way back to the apartment and we crashed for the night.
