Chicago Day Two - Shedd Aquarium

Starting today needing the biggest coffee in the world, still having jetlag sticking around. We headed back to Ferrara Bakery for our breakfast this morning. After we scoffed down an iced coffee (to beat the heat) and a lemon tart, we headed into the university shops area.

Along the same street.

Part of Little Italy, there were plenty of pizza shops, pasta shops, and bakerys. We decided to catch the bus into town as our feet were still recovering from the day before (I wish I was kidding when I say that our blisters have blisters).

Pained

Jordan’s foot pain reflected on her face.

Arriving safe in town, surpisingly considering the speed and aggressive tooting from the drivers here, we walked on to the Shedd Aquarium. Located on the lake front, it had not only fish but also a giant bird eating tarantula (nope).

After checking out the Aquarium we headed through to Seth’s favourite place of the trip so far, Lou Malnati’s. Deep dish pizza.

Seth’s one true love.

“Best Pizza I have ever eaten”

“So amazing”

“Can we come back for dinner?”

“Wow”

“Refreshingly delicious”

Just a few of the quotes from Seth today, as we ate our way through the whole pizza. Tomato, mushrooms, spinach, and copious amount of cheese, it had a buttery flaky crust and was delicious. Super polite service however as a ex-kiwi sever there were a few moments of competition with the server to see how many please and thank-you’s could be used in one sentence.

We caught the train back to the apartment and crashed for the afternoon.

Plans for tomorrow include checking out the Greektown festival and buying new shoes that don’t give us blisters.
