Chicago Day Six
As you can see, we have not been coping with the humidity well.
We decided that we would go to watch a movie in a nice air-conditioned mall. BlacKkKlansman was the standout from the selection, so we picked up some tickets and decided to try some All-American Movie Theatre Fare™. The decision was made for some preztel bites with nacho cheese with a beer.
Seth optimistic about his food choices.
Seth regrets everything.
What we found was possibly the saltiest combination of foods ever created. The cheese had a marmite aftertaste according to Seth. I think it tasted like the colour orange but not a sweet orange, a savory one.
Once seated in the theatre, we discovered out seats were pretty much Lazyboys and massive. I could curl up in the seat without even popping the feet out, and once extended, it was the comfiest thing ever.
BlacKkKlansman was excellent. We won’t spoil it for you but would highly recommend seeing it. I think the themes especially hit home for us since we watched it in the US. Also, it had an awesome soundtrack.
Park outside the theatre.
We happened across this gorgeous park right outside. People were doing yoga as the sun was going down, kids were playing, the plants were bright and colourful. Chicago really does parks right.
Retiring for the evening, we ate our leftover pizza from yesterday and are currently trying to regulate our body temperatures. Crack of dawn flight tomorrow!
